longhorn
The Texas Longhorn is a rugged breed that has managed to survive in today's world despite man. They have a generally rangy build with less fat on them. This makes for a healthier beef than their cousins. They work out well in areas with less forage, and will usually find what they need.
The Texas Longhorn has more than beauty going for it. They have and still are prized for their horns and hides. It seems that no two are alike in color or pattern. If you donot want them for beef, they sure make nice pasture art! The Texas Longhorn is also intelligent, and docile. Ours will eat from our hands, and drop their heads for scratches behind their horns where they cannot easily reach.
Longhorns are also athletic, and used by ropers everywhere. We occasionally sell ours for roping use to private parties.
Cooper's Mrs. Slaytor with minutes old heifer calf, Splash.

Only minutes into the world, and the calves are getting on their feet for the first time. It will be a few days before they are really ripping around, but they are already aware of their surroundings.
Still have questions? Please contact us anytime! We look forward to hearing from you.

Sassie after 'getting her feet under her". At only six months now, she is the largest heifer in the pasture and half or more the height of her mother. Yes, she's for sale!
